I’ve heard lots of good things about this little shop in Garran called Mamak Corner. It looks like your typical Chinese/Malaysian suburban take away shop and restaurant with formica-like tables and chairs, plain cheapie white napkins and a bit of clutter behind the counter. Caffe Cherry Beans is located in Westfield Woden near JB Hifi. It can easily be missed since it’s not anywhere near the food court or other dining places. C Dine Bar on the Kingston Foreshore are offering Buck-a-Shuck on Friday afternoons. That’s $1 oysters between 4-6pm (OMG how cheap?!) A friend and I headed to Jimmy’s Saigon Vietnamese Restaurant in the city on Friday night. It replaces Oishi inside the Garema Centre.
