For my partner’s birthday, I ordered a cake from the Flute Bakery. He chose the Grand Marnier cake – white chocolate and grand marnier mousse with vanilla sponge and chocolate sponge. Ox Eatery located in the East Hotel in Kingston, offers a whole suckling pig fully cooked on their rotisserie with all the trimmings for $800. The pig feeds roughly 15 people. For a work colleague’s birthday morning tea, I suggested we try a cake from Croissant D’or in Woden which has recently opened up.
