Some friends and I caught up for lunch at Binny’s Kathitto in Braddon. Binny’s used to be in a small food van across the road at The Hamlet but recently expanded into its own store. As I walked up to the entrance, the large and heavy-looking glass sliding door was slid open by one of […] Read more…
One Saturday afternoon, J and I walked around Dickson to find somewhere to have lunch. There are still so many places in Dickson I am yet to visit. We passed by Empire BBQ Cafe which I don’t remember seeing before. It replaced the upstairs food court that had been there for years. A glance at […] Read more…
On a Friday night, J and I decided to go out for dinner somewhere North-side. I picked the Ducks Nuts in Dickson (mainly because they have Peking duck fries!) which opened a few months ago replacing the old O’Neil’s pub on the main street. We got there at about 7pm and the place was chockers. […] Read more…
After a quick bite to eat at LSR 7 on Lonsdale Street, I noticed newly opened Hot Pop Cafe right next door. Peeking in, the cafe is small with about 4 tables so I gather it is mainly a take away spot. There is no hipster decor in sight. The cheap prices on the menu […] Read more…
Campbell residents must be happy to see new pub, The Pedlar, open up in the neighbourhood. The L-shaped eatery holds a mix of tables from a mint coloured banquette […] Read more…
Found this old post that I never got around to publishing! I’d been eagerly stalking the construction of Yat Bun Tong in Braddon when I read that it would be a new dumpling house. It opened a few months ago and I headed over there with some work colleagues for lunch. Upon entering, I got […] Read more…

Newly opened Chaki Chaki in Braddon offers high end Japanese cuisine from chef, Yujiro Takeda, who brought us Tasuke. I’ve been stalking the website for a few weeks and I must say the website alone is beautiful! Chaki Chaki predominantly offers a $60 or $80 set degustation with a few tapas on the a la […] Read more…
It was my sisterโs birthday during her visit to Canberra. Seeing as we both love Italian food, it only seemed fitting to take her to one of the best Italian restaurants in town โ Italian and Sons. The last time I was there was early last year and I was eager to revisit the restaurant. […] Read more…
Some friends and I took advantage of a Livingsocial deal a couple of months ago from Vitis Eatery which offered 6 courses for 4 people at a great discounted rate – around $30 per person. I can’t say no to a good food bargain! The last time I was here was over a year ago, […] Read more…
