My favourite pizza spot Pizza Artigiana at the Jamison shops are now open for breakfast. The team uses Italian coffee brand Illy – interesting fact, all Illy coffee is sealed in a patented can where it’s air-free, so when you open it, it’s as fresh as it was when first packed!
The dish that catches my eye is the Carbonara Eggs Benedict ($25) which comes with poached eggs, coated in carbonara sauce, a choice of mortadella or Italian ham, and topped with parmesan. It really does taste like carbonara sauce topped onto my eggs. The parmesan is a little pungent and strong, but I don’t mind it.
The Big Italian Breakfast ($25) includes Italian sausages, Italian baked cannellini beans, potatoes, cherry tomatoes, two eggs your way and friarelli di campo, on toasted sourdough. Hearty and no complaints but Mr FPJ suggests an option for mushrooms.
We both enjoy our breakfast, coffee and chai. There’s a vegetarian and vegan breakfast option too. Sweets-wise, there are various Three Mills Bakery pastries available. I ask if there’ll be a breakfast pizza sometime soon – the team are uncertain at this stage but you never know!
Breakfast at Pizza Artigiana is available Wednesday to Sunday.
