Croissant D’or in Woden have an all-day breakfast menu and I’ve been wanting to try their smoked salmon bagel with scrambled eggs ($12.90). I headed there with a work colleague one weekday and ordered just that!
Sadly, I was disappointed with it. The scrambled eggs were nothing special, just plain and not very flavoursome. I would have also preferred the bagel to be warm and perhaps toasted too. The smoked salmon was tasty but it wasn’t enough to save the dish. I wouldn’t order this again.
I also ordered the coconut mocha frappe latte ($5.90) which didn’t have any crushed up ice but instead they used a few ice cubes. I could taste a small hint of coconut but the mocha itself was extremely weak and just didn’t taste good. I wouldn’t order this again either.
My friend was only peckish so ordered the fish cakes with Thai chilli dip ($7.90). The fish cakes looked and smelled amazing!
Overall, not that pleased with brunch at Croissant D’or. See my lunch/dessert review here. I might just stick with their cakes and pastries. They do an amazing Opera Cake!
