Decided to make a trip to the Westfield Belconnen shops today to try out Yogurtland – a new self serve yogurt shop with about 16+ different yogurts and various toppings. There was quite a queue when we got there.

You basically grab a cup, fill it with as much yogurt as you want and add as many toppings as you want. The filled cup is then weighed and paid for.

Flavours include chocolate milkshake, pecan praline, hazelnut, coconut, mango, strawberry, New York cheesecake and more. I decided to go with all the fruit flavours and fruity toppings while my partner went with all the chocolate/dessert flavours. The toppings are split into 2 sections – one for fruity flavours, and one for the dessert flavours. I chose some freshly cut strawberries, passion fruit sauce, then a mix of lychee,apple and mango bursts. I would’ve chosen more but couldn’t fit much else on top.

My cup was pretty full and came to $9.50. A bit expensive for yogurt.

The various flavours are nice and I love the huge selection of toppings. I can see the novelty of this place being really popular – getting to mix and match, and pour your own yogurt. At the end of the day, its yogurt. There isn’t anything spectacular about it and the flavour itself is just…nice. A fun treat every once in a while.
