New frozen yogurt store Yoli opened up at Westfield Woden a few months ago, opposite Price Attack and Hero Sushi. That’s the 5th froyo brand to open up in Canberra (that I know about anyway). Of course, I had to give it a go. I love my fruit flavours so I chose lychee, watermelon and mango.

It’s self serve with 10 yogurt flavours to choose from including coconut, pomegranate, chocolate, hubba bubba bubblegum and more. Price is based on weight. My froyo weighed 225g and I paid $4.50 for it.

The toppings didn’t look that tempting to me so I went without.

I thought the flavours were extremely subtle. I could hardly make out some of the fruit flavours. The lychee was disappointing as I was expecting a strong hit of flavour. Based on this, I’d prefer Noggi at the food court end of Westfield Woden. In my opinion, Yogurtland in Belconnen and Moochi in Canberra Centre are better in terms of stronger flavours.

I’ve got to ask the question – does Canberra really need this many froyo shops? Two in Westfield Woden is kind of overkill.
